Advisees: Planning your schedule

Advising Appointment Helper:

Help us make the most of our time together and be prepared for your visit!

To find your Registration Window: Your registration window is listed on your MyUK account. You can find this information under the “Plan and Register for Courses” tab. It will be at the top of the screen. If your window is open, it will be in a blue box; if it is closed, it will be in a red box. You can also find this information on the Registrar’s website.

Run your APEX: When you come in, please have a good idea of the requirements you still need to fulfill. One of the best ways to do this is to run an APEX and see where you have red “X’s”, which indicate you still need to take courses to fulfill a requirement. Where you are deficient, you can select courses, add them to your shopping cart, and make them “Planned Courses”. Once you have added Planned Courses for all “X’ed” areas, you can then run a NEW APEX, this time selecting “Including Planned Courses”, and you should see that the "X's" are gone.  If you have no idea how to do this, no problem!  Just have a look at the instruction I created in the document title "Running APEX and using Planned Course Feature".

NOTE: You may not schedule the Lecture/Lab and Capstones in the same semester. These are required courses, so please plan accordingly. Additionally, neither course is offered during summer sessions.
